APPCA is an association of AQP certificate of authorization holders for construction, repair, or alteration of pressure piping. Our purpose is to work together to identify common concerns and safe best practices. We share our unique perspective on Alberta legislative regulations, ABSA administrative information bulletins and interpretations, as well as ASME code and adopted standard requirements. This is achieved by actively having a seat on the Alberta Pressure Equipment Safety Council (PESC). The Council is responsible for making recommendations to the minister of municipal affairs on issues related to pressure equipment safety.

APPCA is committed to ongoing development and continuous improvement in the industry. Our membership is involved in associated industry committees, activities and initiatives including ASME B31.3 and BPVC IX committee meetings, the Alberta Welder Optimization Committee (AWOC) and the Pipe Fabrication Institute (PFI). APPCA communicates regularly and collaborates on planning and resolving issues affecting our industry.
